FAQs
How long does the DNO take?
This is DNO dependant. This depends on who your DNO is in your area. It can take between 3 and 12 weeks, but this is heavily dependent on your DNO.
Who does the best tariffs?
We understand that once you have your new solar PV system installed you want to have access to the best tariff available on the market. At Light Renewables we recommend Octopus as we will feel they give the best and most competitive rates but of course this is down to your discretion.
How do I setup overnight charging of my battery?
Taking advantage of the cheap overnight tariff is one of the many perks of having a solar PV system. You can charge your battery up overnight with the cheap rates so when the morning comes you should have no worries in doing what’s needed. We will send you a step by step guide on how to do this.
How long does an installation take?
For domestic properties we aim to get your installation done within a day, maybe two days depending on how big the installation is.
Commercial properties take anything from 3 to 5 days. This is again dependent on how big your system is.
